SPOT REMOVAL PROCEDURES:

General stains
1. Blot up as much of the liquid as possible. With a white paper towel. (Paper towels with designs will transfer color onto carpet.)
2. Apply pressure on the towel to absorb more of the spot.
3. Repeat the step several times, turning the towel to a dry place each time.

Blood
1. Apply a cool solution of enzyme detergent with a sponge.
2. Allow ten minutes for the solution to work.
3. Blot with cool water and white paper towel.

Candy
1. Apply a detergent solution then blot with water. (If spot remains, apply vinegar, then blot with water.)

Chewing gum
1. Freeze spot with ice cubes, then shatter with a blunt object.
2. Vacuum out chips.
3. Apply a solvent solution.
2. Wait several minutes, then blot with a water solution.

Ink
1. Apply a solvent solution to a sponge and blot lightly to keep ink from spreading.
2. Blot with water.

Cigarette burns
Can be partially remedied by clipping off blackened ends with small Sharp scissors then working in detergent solution and blotting with water.

Ketchup
1. Apply A detergent solution mixed with a cool water.
2. Blot with water. (If spot remains, apply an ammonia solution, then blot with water.)

Wine
1. Apply detergent solution and blot.
(If the stain remains, apply an ammonia solution and then blot.)
(If the stain persists apply a vinegar solution and then blot with water.)
